PROJECTS: SCOTTISH RESIDENCY - SUBMISSIONS NOW OPEN!

Confluence is excited to announce our Scottish Artistic Residency to take place in April 2019.

A five day residency is planned from 15-20 April, with storytelling performances, workshops and photographic exhibitions and tours taking place at venues in Dumfries and Galloway (The Stove, CatStrand and The Oven), plus performances at the Scottish Storytelling Centre in Edinburgh. In addition to our Scottish based storytellers and photographic artists, we are excited to welcome our Nordic team, who are traveling from Norway to take part in the residency.

During the residency a Pop-Up photographic exhibition on the Seven Themes of Confluence will take place in Dumfries, at the Oven on the High Street. The exhibition will seek to showcase local photographic artists and their Nordic counterparts. Submissions of work are therefore sought from artists based in Dumfries and Galloway! During the residency, we will be exploring and researching links between Celtic and Nordic stories and storytelling traditions, as well as inspiring photographic art and starting to plan the second Confluence Book: Celtic and Nordic Visions and Stories!!
